The Venezuelan upper class is the only one that can carry on a normal life . They are paying a very high price of this crisis. Their monthly food expenses worth 1 million Bolivars a month. This is the equivalent of one year’s salary for the middle class. They can still afford to enjoy simple pleasure as going for a drink or making small trips. But the crisis is slowly catching up with this lifestyle that is in complete contrast with the rest of the country. The meals are becoming more and more frugal, the younger generations do not see any future in their country. The salary from a high degree of education doesn’t allow anymore the possibility to buy a car or rent a flat. Most Venezuelan’s youths have left the country to find a future elsewhere in the world.
